  • Thank you

  • D.Ravi: Maya is used in quite a lot of gaming projects and is very capable, there are a lot of scripts out there for it. You need to research a few 3d gaming engines like unity, blitz 3d, torque, XNA etc and get busy making your games!! Good Luck!!

  • Do you have any FPSC entities?
    Plz reply.

  • No, you’ll have to convert them etc…

    try this place:-

  • Hi , WTF,there is no x or obj models!!
    plz convert them.

  • thank you. I have learned a lot about modeling and animation with these :) very useful.

  • Hi. I used these models to get started while I was learning milkshape about 6 years ago, so thank you. Your sharing your knowledge for free helped me to become an animator that I am now.

Just as a heads up, I came across this http://3d02.com/3d_model_main.aspx?id=54519

model that looks a lot like your dwarf. The guy is selling it for about $60.

  • you know , this models are all over the place when people makes small games with indie class engines… most people use these engines will recognize this from somewhere.

especially the dwarf , the zombie and the ninja.

    Old bu really cool models.

  • Thanks a lot, i’ve spent a lot of time trying to find models (to debug & develop my game-engine..)

google tends to give all the time wrong sites (3dcafe, 3dwhatever ‘please register and pay $$$’ ) so these free resources are very much appreciated.

  • thanks!! took me a while to find your site, though.

  • Thank you SO MUCH! I have been looking for 3D resources and ever since I played your Being One games and your Ghostscape 1 game I found this! Thank you!

  • Your generosity is amazing. Thank you.

  • Thank you very much for the zombie model, it’s great!

  • Thanks, I was start learning from your tutorials

  • Like Quad I first discovered these models in an open source graphics engine (www.ogre3d.org) as part of a project for a Computer Game course at my university.

Now we have to make another virtual world, this time with the Irrlicht engine (irrlicht.sourceforge.net). I was pleasantly surprised to find the same models in their examples. The .txt file for the ninja was there to and it was so that I learned about this site.

Maybe you’d like to know that a lot of students at our university every year are using your models in their student games, and they really do a fine job.

So thanks for your contributions and great work! My current networked RTS will feature ant/ninja/zombie and dwar armies :P

I am wondering how it is that your models are used in all these different engines though. Were you the first to freely distribute models like these? Were you engaged in the development of these engines? Or are these models simply the best one can find :)

A last remark: the dwarf model included in Irrlicht doesn’t seem to have all the animations in it. I replaced it with the version from this site and it works perfectly now.

  • Good job! I like ‘em.

  • man you are amazing i have download all if you can add me on msn :)
i want some game models btw thanks :)

  • I just wanted to thank you for offering this for free.
I used it for a school project (studying in HAL in Nagoya) and I got 104 out of 100 points!
Althou the game is not interested in itself, well, I learned many interesting things about 3D.
Here is a video (althou it’s not the latest version)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-DAJ4nf28c
and in my game, if you press Q you change the model’s texture!
    thank you again!

  • Wholy S***, These could be amaizingly usefull, Im developing a zombie shooter inside this city and well i needed some zombies. Thanks for your amaizing generosity.

  • I’m porting your spacefighter collaboration into Transcendence, a free space role-playing top-down shooter.

    http://neurohack.com/transcendence/

It is not an official addition, however, and as of now, only idolknight’s textures have been ported improperly. A few notable members of the Transcendence community, however, have taken note of this and seem to like it.

I’m obliged to you guys for providing this model for free. It is the only free spaceship model I’ve come across on Google, and I was overjoyed to see that this one comes with an arsenal of textures. Many thanks.

Just messing around, great job with the models…
I have even seen them used on some indie xbox live games ;)

  • I love these models :D
oh n also, a simple human would be nice. The zombie is missing an arm, the dwarf is too fat, and the ninja has a sword. nothing really fancy or whatever, but just so game developers can use a temporary human model for testing

  • Thank you very much for the great collection of model, it’s great!

  • Thank you for making these wonderful models available for download. I’ve been using them to test my latest software 3D engine and import modules, and it has been a tremendous help having such high quality models available for testing.

  • You’re welcome, glad you found em useful!!
